Fleet Driver & Porter Position

A Fleet Driver / Porter position available to assist the Fleet Department with various duties depending upon the needs of the department.  Your duties will include various tasks from cleaning vehicles, moving & parking vehicles, assembling delivery packages, creating the day’s schedule for customer deliveries to assisting with cutting the grass in our field next door.

The primary focus for this position is to assist our Inventory Manager with the daily tasks required and to drive vehicles to and from our vendors and deliver purchased vehicles to our customers on schedule and in a professional manner.

Part-Time Position: 

Up to $8.00 to $9.00/hour commensurate with experience.  An average of 20-25 hours per week is expected. 

This position includes the following duties:

• The transporting of commercial vehicles to and from vendor locations for custom upfits
• Drive and deliver vehicles to customers, locally or out of town, following all rules of the road
• Deliver vehicles to appropriate destination in a safe and courteous manner
• Ride with or follow other driver(s) to drop off vehicle(s) or pick up multiple vehicles
• Organize travel routes and ensure vehicle paperwork is signed and returned promptly
• Must have cell phone and understand how to use google maps or another electronic map program
• Move & park vehicles as requested by Inventory Manager
• Move vehicles stored in field so grass may be cut
• Wash vehicles using automatic car wash, wipe dry, clean windows and fill with gasoline
• Install temp tags/license plates onto vehicles
• Assemble delivery packages for next day’s deliveries schedule
• Apart from religious observations, must be able to work up to a maximum of 29 hours per week on the following schedule:
  • Shift 1) Monday - Friday 8:00 am – 12:00pm
  • Shift 2) Monday - Friday 1:00 – 5:00pm
  • Later evening / weekend hours will be required for out of town deliveries

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a current valid State of Texas driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past three years
• No drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the past five years
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
• Must be willing to accept a starting wage of minimum wage + per hour
• Must be willing to accept part time work
• Must be in good health and able to perform duties as described
• Must be able to pass background screening & random drug tests
